Terms & Conditions

Quotations are provided in writing, free of charge and without obligation. Unless stated otherwise, a quotation remains open for acceptance for 30 days from its date, after which materials and labour may need to be re-priced.

Quotations are itemised so you can see what is included. Anything not listed is excluded.

Before work begins we agree a written scope of works, a price, a payment schedule and a programme including a planned completion date.

No variation to the agreed scope or price will be charged without your written approval.

Where we are responsible for a delay, we will compensate you £500 for each full week that the works remain incomplete beyond the agreed completion date, subject to the conditions below.

• The completion date is the date stated in the contract, as adjusted only by a variation you have approved in writing.
• The commitment applies only to delays caused by us. It does not apply to delays caused by variations you request, late decisions or approvals, access restrictions, third parties, planning or building-control delays, adverse weather, or events beyond our reasonable control.
• Compensation accrues per full week of qualifying delay and is credited against the final payment.
• This commitment is the agreed remedy for late completion and replaces any general claim for damages for delay, to the extent permitted by law.

This clause is a contractual commitment offered in good faith; it is not legal advice, and we recommend you review any contract before signing.

Payments are staged against progress as set out in the payment schedule. We do not ask for the full contract price in advance.

Invoices are payable within 7 days unless the contract states otherwise. We may suspend works where sums due remain unpaid.

You agree to provide timely access to the property, prompt decisions and approvals, and any information we reasonably need. Unless agreed otherwise, you are responsible for obtaining planning permission and building-regulations approvals, and for notifying neighbours where party-wall matters apply.

We hold insurance appropriate to the works we undertake; details are available on request. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
